Prairie Restoration on Capped Landfills (Audio)

 Volume/Number:  2001 May

The Illinois EPA used this alternative method of maintaining landfills in Taylorville. Interviews with prairie restoration specialists, environmental protection specialists, and IEPA project managers share the story of the planting and annual burning of former landfills, and the resulting effective and inexpensive alternative to maintaining them. 14:33
